Study (D-2) Visa

All international students studying at Sogang University must possess a study (D-2) visa before the start of classes. If you already hold another type of visa in Korea, please check with the immigration office whether it is possible to study with your current visa.

Certificate of Admission

To obtain a study (D-2) visa, you will need a Certificate of Admission issued by Sogang University. Prospective students intending to enroll at Sogang University using this visa should follow the application process to acquire the Certificate of Admission through the Office of International Affairs(OIA).

Please note that visa application requirements may vary depending on the specific embassy or consulate abroad. Therefore, it is imperative to directly contact the local Embassy of the Republic of Korea or the Immigration Contact Center (☎ 1345) to confirm the necessary documents before preparation.

1. Passport
2. Visa Application Form
3. 1 color photo (3.5cm × 4.5cm,taken within the last 6 months)
4. Visa Application Fee
5. Certificate of Admission and copy of Sogang University's Business Registration
6. Academic Transcript
7. Financial Statement (bank balance certificate showing a deposit of over 20,000,000 won)
8. Tuberculosis diagnosis certificate issued by a hospital designated by the Korean Embassy (or Consulate)
